FamilyMart is set to revolutionize the shopping experience with the launch of its unmanned payment store, "FamilyMart JR Kikuna Station/S Store," scheduled to open on May 31st at JR Yokohama Line Kikuna Station. Utilizing the cutting-edge unmanned payment system developed by TOUCH TO GO, this store marks the third unmanned FamilyMart outlet to debut at a JR East station.
Designed to offer a next-generation shopping experience, the unmanned payment store aims to cater to the needs of railway users, enhancing convenience by enabling quick shopping transactions during rush hours or between trips. This innovative approach not only saves time for customers but also addresses labor shortages while reducing store operating costs.
To utilize the service, customers simply need to select their desired items, review the information displayed at the exit, and complete their purchase through various payment methods, including barcode payment, transportation electronic money, credit card, or cash.
Conveniently located at 1-1 Kikuna 7-chome, Kohoku Ward, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, the store will operate from 7:00 to 23:00 daily, offering approximately 22m² of retail space and featuring a selection of around 500 items.
